Christmas Time at Santa’s Village

Way up north in the White Mountains is Santa’s Village. You can visit him in the summer, and you can visit him in the fall, but the best to time visit him is… Christmastime!

Santa’s Village is located in Jefferson, New Hampshire - a spot deep in the White Mountains and a popular vacation destination in the summer.

Santa’s Village closes after early fall, but then prepares for the big guy’s world tour on Christmas Eve.

It’s a busy period for St. Nick and Mrs. Claus...

But he also knows how families love to visit him during the holiday season. So each year after Thanksgiving for a few weekends before Christmas, he opens his place to everybody to greet visitors and show off his Christmas lights and workshop.

Such is the magical place created back in 1952 and the young and old alike are still enjoying today. Though Santa’s Village has evolved over time there’s still a nostalgic charm to it that’s never been lost.

Stuck in time but worth the trip. Here's why...

Stuck in time it brings out the kid in all of us. But don’t worry that with the electronic bombardment kids get these days they won’t have fun at the village – once inside the village everybody has a blast – it’s just infectious.

For the younger ones it’s great to see their faces light up when visiting with Santa and his elves, or having a cup of wassail with Mrs. Claus.

Many of the theme rides will be open and maybe even some of that white stuff will be floating in the air or lying on the ground. Add in a special Christmas show in the Polar Players Theater and you have all the ingredients for a magical day at Santa’s Village.

Don’t miss the 3D movie “A Tinkerdoodle Christmas” and be sure to visit with St. Nick himself before you leave.

Santa’s Village is a theme park without the hustle and bustle of a Disney or Six Flags New England. And once inside the food and gifts are reasonable priced, and the place is clean and spotless.

The village opens for the Christmas season on Saturday November 21st, 2009, from 11:00am to 6:00pm and then Friday November 27th from 11:00am – 7:00pm. Then every Saturday from November 28th through December 19th from 11:00am to 7:00pm, and every Sunday from November 29th through December 28th from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The village will also be open on Monday and Tuesday December 28th and 29th 11:00am – 6:00pm.

Admission prices are $24 per person, with children ages 3 and younger free.

Santa’s Village is in Jefferson, New Hampshire. Take I-93 North and take Exit 35. This will bring you to Route 3 North. Travel Route 3 until you see Route 115 on the right, after the Twin Mountain intersection. Turn Right onto 115. Drive 10 miles until you come to the stop sign. Turn left (Route 2 West). Santa's Village is about 4 miles down the road on the left.

The Jefferson area has plenty of lodging for travelers needing to stay the night.

Santa’s Village is for the kid in all of us and rekindles the excitement of the season and the anticipation of creating unforgettable family memories.
