And relive the magic of Yuletide celebrations from long ago. Mystic Seaport undergoes a festive decoration for the Christmas season and you’ll have a chance to visit with the villagers... And trade stories as you make your way to the local tavern. You can watch as sailors make merriment and enjoy being landlubbers for Yuletide. There’s a good chance you’ll see St. Nicholas – 1876 talk for Santa – on your way back riding in a horse-drawn wagon. Dress warmly and be prepared to immerse yourself in Christmas Eve 1876 when life was a little simpler, and entertainment was based on friends, music, and a barrel load of good spirit. The Lantern Light Tours last 60 minutes and operate on November 28, 2009 and December 4-5, 11-12, 18-20, and 26-27. Two tours start every 15 minutes. Tickets are $26 for adults and $19 for children ages 4 to 18, the tour is not recommended for children under 4 years. This is one of the more popular tours during the holiday season in Connecticut so make early reservations.
